Who and How

Formal partnerships, associations, platforms, organizations and networks, which have not been established as legal entities, can apply to be hosted by The Raffaella Foundation.  Applications must be organized exclusively for charitable, development, educational, and scientific purposes and meet at least one the following criteria:

  • Conduct on-the-ground activities that embrace diversity to promote equity, solidarity and well-being in urban societies and agricultural ecosystems
  • Share educational materials in multiple languages to increase the knowledge and understanding of how diversity is an essential resource for sustainable development and well-being
  • Work to strengthen societies’ capacity to embrace social and environmental diversity and to address some of the major local and global challenges of urban and rural societies
  • Involve local communities, respect, and strengthen the communities’ customary knowledge and language systems, and generate tools and findings on diversity that can be used by communities globally, in order to increase community benefits from embracing social and environmental diversity
  • Integrate local, regional, and global issues to emphasize the common and shared responsibility to maintain and support diversity in both developing and developed countries.
  • Present global and international trends, challenges, and opportunities for embracing the use of diverse ideas and practices, diverse production systems, diverse cultures, diverse gender identities, and diverse behaviors and diverse norms
